Nedlastbart virker kun i Guitar Hero 5

Activision har fortalt nettsiden Destructiod at låtene i Guitar Hero 5, og fremtidige nedlastbare Guitar Hero-låter, ikke lenger vil være kompatible med Guitar Hero: World Tour. Nedlastbare låter som lanseres etter Guitar Hero 5 vil kun være spillbare i Guitar Hero 5.

Derimot skal kan kunne eksportere låtene fra Guitar Hero: World Tour og spille de i det kommende Guitar Hero 5. De eldre låtene vil også få funksjoner fra det femte spillet som Expert Plus-modus for trommer, "band moments" og star power.
