More and more real-world sports are heading into the digital realm in order to keep the spirit of competition alive for fans stuck inside with nothing to do, and that includes the wonderful world of F1 racing.

That being the case, the second F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix is due to take place this weekend, with Charles Leclerc, Alex Albon, George Russell, Lando Norris and Nicholas Latifi all competing in the virtual event.

Naturally, they'll all be playing F1 2019, the official F1 racer developed by Codemasters that we reviewed last year. Alas, this weekend's race was due to take place at Hanoi's Street Circuit in Vietnam, but as that track isn't in the game yet we'll be watching the action unfold in Albert Park, Australia.

The event will be hosted at the Gfinity Esports Arena starting at 8pm BST on Sunday, April 5, and you'll be able to watch it on places like YouTube and even Sky Sports F1 (depending on where you live, of course). The show is expected to last around 90 minutes, with qualifying and then a 28-lap race to follow. After that, you can also expect another hour-long racing event for esports players.
