Om det er presset fra de uttallige anti-volds organisasjoner som har hatt en finger med i dettte eller om spillet bare ikke er klar for butikkhyllene vites ikke, men nå kan Eidos meddele at deres forhatte og ytterst omtalte spill 25 to Life ikke kommer ut i år. Bill Gardner som er CEO for den amerikanske publishing.del sa følgende:
"Following the recent management change and restructure, Eidos is able to reevaluate its calendar of releases giving us the opportunity to make changes in the best interest of the business. It is in light of this review that we have decided to move the ship date for 25 to Life from October 2005 into next year."
