Mens offsielle opplysninger sier at en release på Microsoft's nye operativsystem Windows Vista muligens vil komme i begynnelsen av 2007, har vi i dag fått inn noen opplysninger for hvor krevende dette blir. En 800 Mhz CPU (prosessor) med 512MB RAM vil fungere, men 1Ghz og 1GB RAM er anbefalt. Videre for det grafiske trenger du DX9-kompatibelt grafikkort som har support for Pixel Shader 2.0 med RAM fra 64MB og opp til 256MB avgjørende etter hvordan du konfigurer Windows Vista.

Symantec som sitter med Norton Anitvirus har nylig saksøkt Microsoft og dette kan i verste fall føre til en liten utsettelse av Window Vista.
