Den britiske Playstation-sjefen Fergal Gara tror at Playstation 4 vil få en kortere levetid enn Playstation 3, og mener at dette har en sammenheng med folks vilje til å kjøpe ny teknologi er større enn den var for bare et par år siden.
"I think there's reason to believe that the next cycle might be shorter in markets such as the UK."
"It's probably a sign of the times and how much has changed in seven years, but I think the willingness and the appetite to pick up new technology fast has probably changed quite a bit", sa han til TechRadar.
Dette samsvarer forøvrig med EA-sjefen Patrick Söderlunds uttalelse om at hele konsollgenerasjonen vil bli kortere enn den foregående.
