Under vårt intervju med Xbox product marketing director, Jim McMullin, hadde Microsoft-mannen mye å si om den planlagte Xbox One-lanseringen i Norden 5. september.
- The feedback from gamers and from the sort of core gaming community, in terms of anticipating Xbox One, has been huge. We're really excited about it and we really hope it goes well. We've always done relatively well in Sweden and the Nordic countries, in terms of the types of games played, in terms of the exclusives that we have in first and third-party in things like FIFA Ultimate Team with Legends.
Han fortsatte:
- Those are the kind of things we think are going to make us really resonate with those gamers. But we're going to continue to update even before the launch, so that it's as good as it can be.
Da vi spurte om de har planlagt noe ekstra i forhold til spilltitler for å gjøre lanseringen mer interessant, påpekte han at høsten uansett er en travel tid for bransjen. Han sa derimot følgende:
<i>- I think that we're launching as soon as we can, I think that we want the best experience for launch, I also think that those big titles [Forza Horizon 2, Dance Central] are going to be really exciting.
Xbox One slippes i Norge og resten av Norden 5. september, og det blir spennende å følge med på hvor mange som egentlig kommer til å kaste seg over konsollen når den blir "norsk". Undertegnede mistenker at forspranget til Playstation 4 vil jevne seg ut, men fordelingen mellom Playstation- og Xbox-spillere vil nok holde seg relativt lik slik den har vært i mange år.
