Payday 2-utviklerne om mikrotransaksjonene
De siste ukers endringer i Payday 2 har opprørt mange blant fansen, og det er da snakk om muligheten til å både tjene og bruke penger innad i spillet. Nå har en av utviklerne bak spillet, Almir Listo, tilbragt et par timer på Reddit for å forklare hva Overkill Software tenker om endringene:
"We have a system that everyone can participate in, where players can earn actual money while playing PayDay 2. If you don't want to purchase anything, that's completely fine, as you can just sell what you get and continue focusing on the core experience of PayDay 2. Meanwhile, the added funds allow us to continue making the game better and better all the time."
De har altså vært nødt til å implementere mikrotransaksjoner slik at de skal kunne fortsette å utvikle spillet. Almir fortsatte med å forklare at oppdateringen allerede fungerer akkurat slik de ønsket, og studioet er tilfreds med valget om å legge til Black Market-delen i spillet:
"We understand that there is a lot of fury, anger and disappointment with us adding this. From an economical standpoint however, completely based on statistics, we can already see that the Black Market update is working as we intended."
