Det startet med Cuphead, og så skjedde det igjen med Ori and the Blind Forest - Microsoft har nå utgitt to tidligere Xbox-eksklusive titler på Nintendo Switch, og de fleste begynte å håpe at dette ville bli starten på et lengre samarbeid mellom de to konsollplattformene.
Men det er ikke tilfellet - Microsoft har allerede slått fast at dette er et enkeltstående tilfelle, og nå vet vi at ikke engang oppfølgeren, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, kommer til Nintendos plattform.
I et intervju med Microsofts Aaron Greenberg at Moon Studios selv ønsket å bringe det første spillet til Switch, men at dette ikke bør skape noen konkrete forventninger til fremtiden.
"Ori is built by Moon Studios, which is an independent, external studio. They came to us with a desire to bring the original Ori to the Switch. We thought that made sense, and we're happy to work with them to enable them to bring that to Switch. We understand their desire to bring that game to Switch, and in this particular case, we were happy to support them. And we think that makes sense for the original Ori. Ori and the Will of the Wisps is exclusively on Xbox One and on the PC. We will be focused on making games for our platforms, and we have no plans to expand our exclusive first-party games to any other consoles."
