Spillet har vært en salgsuskess på både PS2 og Dreamcast, hvilket har ført til at Infogrames også vil lansere spillet til PC. Her følger et utdrag av pressemeldingen: Le Mans 24 Hours offers 70 official cars (Prototypes and GTs), 12 genuine circuits all faithfully reproduced, including the American track of «Petit Le Mans» and of course the world famous «Le Mans 24 Hours» circuit itself. The game consists of 5 modes: Quick Race, Championship, Le Mans (race the course in real time or in accelerated mode), Multiplayer and Time Trial.
Striking realism has been achieved with 3D pit stops, interactive AI and animated drivers, as well as the unrivalled sensation of day and night driving, stunning graphics and easy to control handling, all making Le Mans 24 Hours a breath-taking driving experience.
