Det ser ut til at Headfirst Productions er på vei med enda et Call of Cthulu spill, som naturligvis er basert på H.P. Lovecrafts groteske univers. Firmaet har nettopp sendt ut en pressemelding og nye screens.

Their first release, "Call of Cthulhu - Dark Corners of the Earth" - plagued by 'unnatural disturbances' since its inception - is now due for completion in the Q3/Q4 2003 on both Xbox and PC formats. They are now actively seeking a publisher to ensure their loathsome doctrine reaches and corrupts as many innocents as possible. A dossier of information about their 'project' has been compiled at www.callofcthulhu.co.uk - although some of the images depicted are not for the faint of heart.
Recently, it has come to our attention that they are also planning another bold step with a game exclusively for the PS2 format. Our information suggests that a Q4 2004 release date for "Call of Cthulhu - Tainted Legacy" is predicted and information will be made available on the web site as we obtain it.
Production has also begun on a sequel to "Dark Corners of the Earth" called "Beyond the Mountains of Madness" - a continuation of the original story set in the freezing Antarctic. This is estimated to arrive in time for Christmas 2004.
During a recent interview, Headfirst's Master of the Rites, Michael Woodroffe said "We are really excited about the long term prospects for the Call of Cthulhu franchise, especially now that Dreamworks have announced their up-coming film based on the H.P. Lovecraft short story 'At the Mountains of Madness' which is to be directed by Guillermo del Toro of Blade 2 and Hellboy fame."
There seems to be no limit to the lengths these people will go in order to increase interest and gather followers for their terrible cult. They are close to achieving their objectives already and when they do, Great Cthulhu will rule over us all.
