Ubi Soft gjentar suksessen med Splinter Cell, og slipper Rainbow Six eksklusivt til Xbox - i en periode. Hverken PS2 eller GameCube fans bør forvente en konvertering før en gang i løpet av 2004.
Det er naturligvis den velkjente og suksessrike Rainbow Six serien som er på vei, men allerede nå kan Ubi Soft fortelle, at den vil ha support for 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound samt online elementer og nedlastbart materiale via Xbox Live, og derfor er det snakk om et helt unikt spill til Xbox. Spillet forventes i handlen rundt juletider og bare på Xbox, da Ubi Soft som sagt har inngått en tidseksklusiv avtale med Microsoft.
Yves Guillemot sa følgende:

Michel Cassius knyttet også en kommentar til annonseringen:
