Selv om Nokias N-Gage ikke akkurat er revet vekk fra hyllene, så ser det ikke ut til at det finske firmaet er skuffet. Nei, faktisk er de tvert i mot fornøyde. Forvirret?
I USA har to store butikk-kjeder allerede satt ned prisen på N-Gage. Både GameStop og Electronics Botique har kuttet prisen med 100 dollar - og det etter bare to uker på markedet.
Allikevel er Nada Usina hos Nokia ganske fornøyd:
"We are pretty pleased with the viral uptake from consumers and the feedback that we are getting, but we have a lot to do to make sure our expectations are in alignment" - "We are mixing a telecom model where typically you roll out in a couple markets and (demand) builds before its peaks and drops off, and the game market where it is 'boom' then it goes away"
John Bucher, analytiker hos Harris Nesbitt Burns sa følgende:
"If that thing isn't a smash hit, that's OK. It will have no impact on earnings. They will take all their lessons learned and wrap it into the next one."
