Endelig har Rockstar tatt bladet fra munnen, om enn bare litt, og annonsert neste kapittel i den ultra-populære Grand Theft Auto serien. GTA: San Andreas er tittelen og vi har mer info!
Etter knallsuksessene GTA 3 og GTA: Vice City, er det ikke akkurat overraskende at Rockstar nå sitter å ruger på enda et nytt spill i den populære serien. Som ryktene lenge har sagt, er det altså GTA: San Andreas som blir tittelen på spillet, men noe overraskende er det at også dette spillet er annonsert eksklusivt til Sonys PS2. De fleste hadde nok regnet med at Xbox salget av GTA: Double Pack ville gjøre sitt for at det neste spillet ikke ble PS2 eksklusivt, men den gang ei. GTA: San Andreas er foreløpig satt til lansering 22. oktober 2004, her i Europa, mens det slippes et par dager tidligere i USA. (NASDAQ: TTWO), is pleased to announce Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the next iteration in the globally successful Grand Theft Auto franchise. Developed by world-class designers Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be available exclusively for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and is expected to be in stores in North America on October 19, 2004 and in Europe on October 22, 2004.

Over 30 million units of the Grand Theft Auto franchise have been shipped to date, including over 11.5 million units of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and over 10.5 million units of Grand Theft Auto 3.
