Siste året på dette tidspunktet kunne Microsoft skryte av over en million Xbox Live-brukere. Dette året er tallet fordoblet til to millioner, hvilket betyr at det kommer en ny bruker til hvert halve minutt - og det er imponerende.
Robbie Bach, senior vice president hos Microsoft hadde derfor veldig naturlig også vanskelig med å skjule sin begeistring da han sa:
"Reaching the two million member milestone in such a short time speaks volumes about the depth and vibrancy of the Xbox Live community. This enormous growth is a true testament to the compelling content and engaging experiences enabled through Xbox Live today. The service is inspired by the creative power of the individual and fuelled by the passion of a worldwide community."
Microsoft har nettopp sluppet en Multiplayer Map Pack til Halo 2 som utvilsomt er et av konsollens mest populære online-spill.
