ESL og Tencent Games har avslørt at de tar med seg en Arena of Valor-esportkonkurranse til E3, og at sluttspillet i Valor Series kommer til å foregå på E3 ESL Arena den 12. og 13. juni, som en del av Tencents nye fokus på mobil-esport. Razer sponser konkurransen med tilbehør og maskinvare.
"Tencent is committed to supporting and growing the mobile esports community by leveraging structured esports competition on both a local and large scale," sa Ramon Hermann, esportsjef for Tencent America. "The Valor Series playoffs showcase the absolute best in mobile esports, as Arena of Valor offers gamers a fast-paced, competitive multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) experience without compromise, especially if you're playing on gaming-inspired Razer hardware."
Valor Series har vært i gang i et par måneder nå, og vinnerne av sluttspillet på E3 går videre til Arena of Valor World Cup i juli for å kjempe om en premiepott på $550 000. AT&T er på plass og bidrar med støtte, og skal bruke Microsoft HoloLens for å "enable interaction with content in an entirely different way and enhance the gaming experience."
