Selv om ryktene florerte på Game Developers Conference var det mange som ble overrasket over å se at Microsofts Cuphead blir gitt ut til Switch. Det her har fått mange til å fundere på hvordan dette skjedde, og vi har nå fått svaret: det var Microsofts idé.
Spilljournalisten Daniel Bloodworth skrev på Twitter at han snakket med Studio MDHR som bekreftet både dette og andre saker som gjelder Cuphead:
"Oh yeah I was talking to one of the Cuphead devs yesterday and he said that it was Microsoft actually approached them and asked if they'd like to make a Switch version. Crazy stuff.
Also the work going into the Switch port will improve other versions of the game too. Expect shorter load times on Xbox with an update after the Switch version goes live."
