Reverge Labs' animated brawler, Skullgirls: 2nd Encore, proved to be the most popular pick amongst competitors for Evo 2020 with a reported 1,525 total registrations.
After sign-ups closed earlier today, Evo President, Joey Cuellar, announced on Twitter that the Skullgirls: 2nd Encore led the way with titles Killer Instinct, Them's Fightin' Herds, and Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath following respectively. Interestingly, the title led comfortably across all competing regions (Europe, North America, and Japan/ South Korea) but the runner ups differed heavily between areas.
The competition, which is set to take place exclusively online, will take place July 31 - August 2.
