Despite the League of Legends World Championship being the talk of the town in the League esports scene, Riot is wasting no time in also getting us excited for the return of the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), which now has a date for when the Spring Season will kick-off.

Set to start up on January 14, 2022, Riot has revealed that for the Spring Season it will still be maintaining a degree of caution surrounding the delta variant of Covid-19, and therefore will not be hosting a roadshow for the Spring Season in 2022. To make up for this, Riot has stated that it is working on creating a "better online viewing experience, along with an improved virtual fan experience for everyone watching at home."

As part of the announcement post, Riot also noted that it will be monitoring Covid-19, with the intent of a roadshow for the Summer Season of 2022, but that we should stay tuned for more information.
