Blizzard sitt esportsnærvær er unektelig stort, med spill som Overwatch, StarCraft, Heroes of the Storm, og da vi snakket med BlizzCon-representanten Saralyn Smith på Gamescom, fortalte hun oss at selv om ikke folk spiller jevnlig, blir de alltid involvert når BlizzCon går av stabelen.
"Yeah so the esports aspect of BlizzCon is a really big deal to us, and we think that seeing our games played at the highest level - it's always an honour to see the talent and the commitment that players have put into it. And for the live attendees and the people online, everyone wants to see the esports happening at the show. There'll be standing room only, particularly at the finals that are happening on Saturday, so even if they haven't been following the esports programs all throughout the year, a lot of people wanna watch during BlizzCon. It's like our Super Bowl, it's like our World Cup finals, so people show up."
