The victors of the Intel Extreme Masters New York 2020 North American tournament have been crowned, with FURIA Esports taking home the trophy. Following a lengthy event, FURIA ended up defeating 100 Thieves, during their final stint in competitive Counter-Strike.

100T finished top of their respective group with a 4-1 record. This lead put them in great position for the quarterfinals of which FURIA had to battle to reach, due to a third place result in their group. After slogging it out with Team Liquid for a 2-1 result, FURIA moved on to face Evil Geniuses - the leader of FURIA's group, ultimately beating them in a 2-0 fashion.

In the finals against the dominant looking 100T, FURIA seemed to be the underdog, but that never stopped them. After four games of hard fought CS, which saw 100T even lead the series early, FURIA won three straight maps and took the championship, netting them $25,000.
