The next Major in the ESL Counter-Strike: Global Offensive calendar is almost here, with teams set to return to the Cathedral of Counter-Strike at the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2021 event in early/mid-July.

The event that has been in the works for a while, will feature a $1 million prize pool, where $400,000 will go to the winner that will be determined when the tournament comes to a close on July 18.

On the run-up to the event, the ESL recently took to Twitter to reveal that IEM Cologne 2021 will in fact be played on LAN, meaning we will get a tournament that sees all the competing teams and players in Cologne and playing in the iconic cathedral venue for the first time since 2019, as the 2020 event was cancelled due to the global pandemic.

IEM Cologne 2021 will start on July 6 and will run until July 18, you can catch the action when it kicks-off at ESL's Twitch channel here.
