Lucas Blakeley kicks off 2022 F1 Esports season with back-to-back wins

He'll be aiming for a third this evening.

The 2022 F1 Esports Series season started a couple of days ago, and since then, we've had two official races, with a third planned for this evening. But, with the tournament already started, it's worth looking at the first two Grand Prix of the season, and who came out victorious.

And for Bahrain and Imola, there's not a lot to add other than McLaren Shadow's Lucas Blakeley proved to be the driver to beat, as he is the back-to-back victor for the two races. As for who made up the podiums for each race, in Bahrain, Mercedes' Jarno Opmeer came in second, with second McLaren driver Bari Boroumand coming in third. In Imola, aside from Blakeley, it was the Red Bull duo of Marcel Kiefer and Frede Rasmussen who came in second and third respectively.

Later this evening, the third race of the season will be taking place and taking the scene to Silverstone, where Blakeley will be looking to make history by becoming the first F1 Esports driver to win three races in a row. Catch the action when it starts at 18:30 BST / 19:30 CEST right here.
