Phil 'Momo' Whitfield has been one of the main casters on the desk for COD Champs 2017, and we caught him during a break in the action to hear his thoughts on the ultimate Call of Duty event.
One topic we touched on was that of the European teams this event. Despite winning stage one, Splyce fell to OpTic in the winners bracket then Luminosity in the losers, while Epsilon and Infused failed to make a major impact and the other teams didn't impress at all.
"It's definitely disappointing," said one half of the vP brothers. "I think they'll be the first to say that, the players themselves. Splyce with top... eight I think they got? Epsilon with top 12, last year I think we had three or four in the top eight itself, we had second and fourth place. So definitely disappointing, but these guys have got to bounce back, the new game's coming out soon, but overall for Europeans, it has been a bit of a disappointing event."
