OverActive Media, eieren av esportselskapet Splyce og Overwatch-laget Toronto Defiant, har kunngjort at de har sagt opp seks ansatte fra salgs- og markedsføringsavdelingene. OverActive Media kjøpte opp begge selskapene i november og kunngjorde planer for å "grow our enterprise on a global level".
I en uttalelse gjort til The Esports Observer sa visepresidenten for innhold og kommunikasjon hos OverActive Media, Paulo Senra, følgende:
"Unfortunately, we've had to make some tough decisions today as our business takes a new direction and continues to grow into one of the leading global esports organizations. We look forward to announcing some additions to our team in the near future."
