ESL Gaming has signed a multi-year agreement with Qualcomm Technologies Inc. to create a new mobile gaming esports ecosystem with tournaments all around the globe. Known as the Snapdragon Pro Series, the idea behind the tournaments is to "revolutionize the future of mobile esports".

We're told in a press release that the Snapdragon Pro Series will span multiple genres of esports, will host tournaments in North America, Europe, the Middle-East, China, North Africa, and Asia-Pacific, and will end with a live Masters finals event.

"The rapid rise of mobile esports is well-documented, and we're incredibly proud of the role ESL has played in that to date," said Rodrigo Samwell, CCO at ESL Gaming. "Our new collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies and its Snapdragon brand will elevate our mobile ecosystem to its fullest potential. We're excited to transform the future of mobile esports for players and fans around the world, continuing to create a world where everybody can be somebody."

In terms of the format of the Snapdragon Pro Series, we're told that it will boast three tiers of competition, Open, Challenge, and Masters, and will share an estimated prize pool of $2 million.
